Sukovaty and Argraves met as students at the University of Idaho in the late 1980s. Both grew up on hobby farms, she on one in northern Idaho and Louis on Crown S Ranch. After graduation, they moved to Seattle, where he designed and worked on boiler, power plant and co-gen projects and she designed and worked on utility, storm drainage, and road and site development projects.

Argraves and Sukovaty combine traditional animal husbandry with new technology to create sustainable farming practices.  The couple cares for their animals as nature intended: with an abundance of lush green grass on rotated organic pastures, with plenty of clean water, sunshine, and fresh air.  There are no hormones, steroids, pesticides, genetically-modified feeds, or unhealthy feeds given to any of the animals on Crown S Ranch.

On Crown S Ranch, you will find grass-fed cattle, pigs, sheep, laying hens, chickens, and turkeys on certified organic pasturesin Washington State’s Methow Valley.
